Brighton v QPR Team News

The Former Dutch Marine (Chef!) has spent the last month on loan at Boston while loanees Wayne Henderson and then Alan Blayney looked after the goalies jersey, and is expected to return today in preference to summer signing Florent Chaigneau.

Paul McShane is back from his rehabilitation at Manchester United, and in contention for a Centre-back place. I expect Manager Mark McGhee to stick with the pairing of Guy Butters and Adam El-Abd that have been successful while McShane has been out including the win last time out, at home to Hull City.

Richard Carpenter is also recovered from his foot injury sustained in the 1-0 win at Selhurst Park in October, though again he is not expected to displace either Dean Hammond or Charlie Oatway in Central midfield, and he will be looking for a seat on the bench.

Up front is always the area most difficult to predict, with none of the strikers firing on all cylinders last so far this season. Last game saw Gary Hart & Colin Kazim-Richards start up front, while Leon Knight flounced off after learning he was not part of the squad for that game. Leon is unlikely to be in contention for today.
