(Col U 1 - 0 Brighton) Tiptree Jam

In a game that had not much else to talk about Wayne Andrews netted from Colchesters Right Wing with the sort of goal that Ronaldinho would have said was a great shot.
Steve Coppell said after the game "If Wayne Andrews had meant to put the ball there then he'd be playing in the Premiership and not for Colchester United."
While Andrews himself admitted "The lads said that it looked a spectacular goal, but I didn't actually see the ball go in. It was not really meant."
Brighton were not able to get into their passing game against a Colchester side that scrapped for every ball.
Our game plan seemed to be long ball to Henderson, with no other options being considered. However Henderson was rarely able to control the ball from Roberts' big kicks, and it was soon back into the mix.
Only after the Col U goal did we start to put any passing sequences together. Hart hit the post from a scramble soon after the goal, and right at the end Guy Butters headed over.
