Well, what a run of results we have put together! There are many views on the Spurs ticket fiasco (I have tickets) but after the disappointing turn out at QPR perhaps you should have only got a Spurs ticket if you went to either Wolves or QPR!
As for the football, 2 home wins and 2 away draws, great stuff. 7 points clear of the bottom 3 and now Watford, Plymouth and Coventry pulled down into the battle for survival.
Cullips departure has been admirably covered by superb matches from Mayo, Butters and especially Hinshelwood who has the potential to become a commanding centre back at the highest level.
However, IMHO the player who has suddenly become pivotal to our formation and success has been Charlie Oatway. I am not his greatest fan, but in the last month he has put in some of his best displays in an Albion shirt.
There was a great Albion turn out at Wolves and the 1,500+ of us out sang the 27,000 home fans, the QPR match saw only a handful on the Upper Tier so I would say about 2,000 out of an allocation of 3,000, which was disappointing!
Yesterday was a well deserved and crucial win. The winning goal from Knight was superb, and it was sparked by the McGhee triple substitution.
The poor Watford turn out mirrors us only taking 2,000 to QPR and then 5,400 to Spurs a week later. Watford had about 500 at WIthdean yesterday, but have sold 6,500 for Anfield on Tuesday night!
It will be nice to go to a match on Saturday without worrying about other results, we have nothing to lose, it's a shame that Spurs have hit such good form, but that will make our surprise win even sweeter!
Happy and safe New Year to everyone!
